Help me save movie project as a file in computer?

I have made a "movie" with lots of pictures and a soundtrack, Iam very happy
with the final project when I preview the project. When I go to save the
project to my computer a select the file name, and choose a place to save
movie to ( default C drive ) I then hit the next button, I hit the "select
more choices" for the settings to use for the save, for quality and file size
of saved movie. I hit other settings, then pick the recommended setting of "
DV-AVI (ntsc) " I then always get an ERROR mssg. saying "not enough free
space to save movie, select a different setting."
How can this be true? The project is about 1,400.02 MB and I have 17.39 GB
of disk free space???
SO how can there not be space? This is so frustrating! Please HELP ME !!thanks

How long is the final video ... in minutes. Are you remembering that one
hour of footage in DV-AVI format is 12gb? Is your drive formatted in NTFS
file format if the project in length is over fifteen minutes?

It's all about the memory...Man!!! I had 512mb memory and got the same
message, I upgraded to 1gb and I can make longer and more complicated
projects,I got this advice from Papa John,he is a regular poster on this
forum,...Thank you Papa john.
