Help! Lost Works 6.0

System came w/Works 6.0 but recently it was removed (unknowingly). I can still open documents that were saved but can not open any new templates. In Performane and Maintenance I tried to do a system restore to a date previous the removal but to no avail. I have a restore disk that came w/the computer but it says all my personal info and everything will be removed. How do I save the important stuff such as internet connection downloads and other programs that did not come with the computer? Will I actually lose everything? I did backup my personal documents.
