Can someone help me with getting back in my pc? I had to
change my admin password and got aggrevated when it kept
rejecting all the ones I would remeber and I think I
ended up using "password" but now I can't get back in
except as a guest. I can find how to disable it or change
it and am locked out.
The only thing I could find on the web was programs that
cost $100 to $150, and am sure there is an easier way,
just don't know what it is yet.
I am running duel OS (XP pro and 98) but can't get
anywhere with 98, even to uninstal XP, and now am signed
in as a guest and can't even check my mail...

Thanks in advance

Rainy

Rainy,

If you can log into XP as any Administrator then you can reset the
Administraotr password there, if you cannot, then you may want to backyp
your data or shell out the money for that program.

I did not set up any other admin account, have never had to. I have been using this for a couple of years and this it the first time this has happened
I can network in from my other pc (win ME) but don't think that helps much

Thank for you response howeve

You can crack it with ntpasswd here:

http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/

Read the how-to and change the password to something you'll remember
this time.

Then reset your password by logging on as administrator.

How were you able to send this message?
