password when logging into Windows XP Pro with a domain windows se

I setup some workstation - Windows Xp Pro in a domain. I joined the
workgroup first but at that point I didn't set the password. Then I joiin
the domain - of course when I did that I popped wanting the user name and
password. I did that and said remeber password. Now when I log on I have to
hit enter with no password and of course it remebers my password for the
domain. I want to be able to enter the password every time. This was an
existing domain. I didnt need to set this up this replaced a workstaton on
the doman. When I went to user account my only opton was to change the
password. I am assuming my problem is because I didnt set up a password at
the workgroup lever and put remeber password for the domain is why I am not
ask to enter a password to log into my local computer or at the first screen.
Do I need to go back to the workgroup and set the password - using the same
password as the domain. Should I have not put remeber password at the domain
level and only do that when I mapped the drives? So my question is how do I
get it to force me to enter a password when Windows XP Pro comes up? Thanks
for any feed back or help. The server software is Windows Server 2003.

Change the way users login - set it so that they have to press ctrl alt del

control panel, user accounts, advanced tab.

I think you have to set that through gpedit....

That is not the problem. I didnt set the password when the workstation was
in workgroup mode. It is now logged into a domain. Normal when you log into
Windows XP Pro User account then it says create a password. But I am logged
into a domain - windows server 2003 and the user account menu gives me a
choice to change the password. I need to create a password to log into the
Windows XP computer. I already have it set up to use ctrl-alt =del. That
isnt the problem, if this helps.

OK. I think what you want is in user accounts, advanced tabs, manage
passwords. If there's a saved password in here for your domain account,
delete it.

I solved the problem. I hadn't put a password the Windows XP Level - I went
back and re-joined the Workgroup - added a password there - joined the domain
and that worked - possible deleting the store password would have worked and
I thought I looked for that. Also, I wanted to make sure the maps would
remapped. So, did I do extra work? Either way it solved my problems.
