Help! Lost Delayed-Write Data errors (Source MRxSmb, Eventid 50)

Ted Steenvoorden

Here is the problem. Our infrastructure consist of 30+ windows 2000 servers
used for a Citrix Farm, file services, print services etc.. A couple of our
servers started producing the following error after a logoff:

{Lost Delayed-Write Data} The system was attempting to transfer file data
from buffers to \Device\Lanman\Redirector. The write operation failed, and
only some data may have been written to the file.

This error occurs on SP3 and SP4 machines. As a result of this error,
roaming profiles get corrupted. Write cache is disabled on all servers. All
machines are connected to the same network infrastructure. Problem example:

DC3 and DC4 are both Windows 2000 SP4 and have the exact configuration /
hardware. DC3 has no problems, on DC4 when a user logs off, the above error
is written to the eventlog and the roaming profile is corrupted.

This is a very serious error for us, so any help would be appriciated.
Thanx!

Regards,
Ted
