HELP!!! It's the Smart Wizard MFC application........

When I start up my computer, I get the message 'Smart
Wizard MFC application has encountered a problem and
needs to close.' I suspect it has something to do with
sound, because now I don't get any sound. When I check
the sound device, I see a message reading, 'Device cannot
start. Code 10.' What the heck is that and how do I fix
it? I've reinstalled windows, updated the driver,
prayed, cried, uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it,
pulled out my hair and I still don't have sound. Someone
PLEASE help me.
