Help Internet Explorer Keeps Freezing My Computer

G

Guest

I am currently writing this on Mozilla Firefox because my Internet Explorer
keeps freezing up my computer. Everytime I try to open it u it freezes the
entire computer to the point where the computer has to be restarted by
holding down the power key until it shuts off. I know that there is a
strange toolbar that is showing up that I can not remember existing. I have
run Ad-Aware and Norton Virus Scan, as well as Pest Patrol and none of them
can permanently delete it. Any ideas? I really do not want to do a
destructive restore on the system.

First eliminate any spyware.
What You Should Know About Spyware

CAUTION!!!!! Before you try to remove spyware using any of these programs ,
download a copy of LSPFIX from any of the following sites:
http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
http://www.spychecker.com/program/winsockxpfix.html
(if your OS is Win2k or XP) The process of removing certain malware may kill
your internet connection. If this should occur, this program, LSPFIX, will
enable you to regain your connection.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:
