Help: In place upgrade exch 2000 to 2003

In lieu that I ran Addprep - Do I have to run Setup /Forestprep and Setup
/Domainprep?

Will that cause any mangled problems?

Is there any KB's that I can read?

Scenario:
Original Environment
Wk2 DC Fully patch
Exchange 2000 Back end
Exchange 2000 Front End

We are in the proccess of upgrading exch 2000 to 2003.
General steps
Apply the Prevent mangled fix
Ran Adprep /forestprep
Adprep /domainprep
introduced 2 2003 DC's
demoted all w2k DC's
The Forest Functional level is Native 2000
