Help.. I can't get rid of Track Changes feature!!!!

This doesn't happen for me. The Reviewing toolbar doesn't display at all
unless the document contains tracked changes. If you have the Reviewing
toolbar set to be displayed all the time, then this may very well be true
(and would make sense, since Word would assume that you were displaying the
toolbar because you were planning to track changes).

Oh, I'll bet if you could get through your computer to someone at
Microsoft you'd be tempted to kill someone. ;-) (Just kidding, of
course!!)

But just those who can not drive may be likely to cause an
unintentional accident and accidents, such as inadvertently turning on
Tracked Changes, can result from those attempting to use Word with no
prior training or word processor experience.

In any event, as Suzanne noted, if the Reviewing toolbar is turned on
when you create a document then the default for the View command is
"Final Showing Markup". It doesn't mean Tracked Changes are enabled.

Do Tracked Changes appear when you start typing? Does "TRK" display in
bold in the status bar? If so then it sounds like Tracked Changes have
been turned on in the template you used to create the document.
