help "host name cammot be resolved"

My fiend and I both use xp-pro. When he has tried to send me a request for
remote desktop, and I accept, it says trying to connect...but nothing
happens, then it says "host name cannnot be resolved". We have tried this
identical process in reverse, with the same result. We have tried no
firewall, firewall without exeptions as well as firwall enabled with
exceptions enabled. What must we do to utilize this feature please?

Hello again Nih and to all in this lilo family, hope everyones holidays were
good.

Nih, time and circumstance are not an excuse just a fact of (my) life LOL.
Thank you for the previous help assists as they are getting us closer -- but
no success as yet.
I posted recently in a different group, because
I wanted to start using outlook express, but was not able to locate THIS
group on the server they post on this website...b4 i get too wordy, i was
hoping you might be able to locate that thread as I need more input from you
and since I started this thread with you I would like to see it continue this
way, and if you can tell me how to add THIS group via OE would sure be a plus
for me. If you cannot easily find my post (24-48 hrs old, i'll get all the
info again and repostit here.
