Help! Help! Two Major Problems with Windows XP!

Dr. Adrian Waller

Corrupted files have disabled my Search Companion making
it impossible to search for files or folders within my
computer? Is there a patch for this, or must I do a system
restore?
Also, my computer does not always shut down and often gets
hung up.
I have downloaded all Critical Updates and do a virus scan
weekly.
Can you help?
