Help: folders opening into search instead of listing contents

Hello. I was trying to change the folder icon, and I must
have done something wrong, because now when I try to open
any folder and view its contents, instead of listing the
documents and files it contains, it opens up a new Search
window. I have no idea what I did to cause this and would
greatly appreciate any help you can give me.

Launch Windows Explorer. Go to View/Explorer Bar and uncheck 'Search'

Hi, Ed. Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately it
didn't work. When I doubleclick on any folder,it still
opens up a Search window instead of simply showing the
contents of the folder.

The search continues, I guess. :)
