Help finding Hardware

I have a Visioneer scanner I up dated the drivers uninstalled and re
installed and still saids can't find hardware any ideas about how to get it
to work
 
If your scanner is connected via USB, unplug one end of the cable, and then
plug it back in, all while the computer and Windows are running.
 
I try that
