Help - DOS-programs wont't start anymore :-(

After installing (and deinstalling) a tool called "SoundFX" (to run
DOS-games under XP) I can't start DOS-programs anymore. The DOS-window
just opens and closes again for all programs. What is messed up :-(

AND when I tru "System Restore" (have made at least 10 restore points)
Windows tells me that THERE IS NO RESTORE POINTS IN THE SYSTEM !!?!?!?

What the **** is going on? It has always said "Restore point created"

Arrrgghhhh... I don't want to reinstall XP, please someone help me

Bill didn't install "SoundFX" on your PC. And MS didn't write it did
they? You also seem to have managed to mangle the System restore points
while you were messing around. Bill and MS didn't do that either. Turn
off System restore to remove the corrupted file. Then ture it back on to
allow it to wotk properly.
