Hi,
I have Win XP Pro with Outlook 2003 (ver. 11.5608.5703)

When I try to write an email, Outlook is not "looking" to my contacts... I
also try to press the TO: or CC: button to select a contact, but nothing is
there.. it is empty.

Now, as I could read from the group, it has something to do with the
"Outlook Address Book"... so I selected the CONTACTS, right click on it and
selected Properties... then Outlook Address Book to see if it's linked and
where.... but the "Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book" is dimmed
grey and I can't select anything...

How can I restore this ?

I have to say that this happened after reinstalling my system after
formating it, and after copying my backup OUTLOOK.PST file to the new
configuration

Everything else, works perfectly.

Thanks for your time and help

Hi, thanks for the tip...
BUT.. following all the steps, I get stucked here:

1.. On the File menu, point to Folder, and then click Properties for your
folder name.
2.. On the Outlook Address Book tab, click to select Show this folder as
an e-mail address book, type a descriptive name, and then click OK.
The "Show this folder as an email address" option is dimmed, and I can't
select it !

Any help ?
Thanks !
Alex
