I was on the computer last night as well as playing with my little girl and
talking to my wife. I had my e-mail up (SBC yahoo) in it's own browser. After
an hour or two when my wife and daughter went to bed, I started to get ready
myself and I went to look at my e-mail one more time as I hit the refresh
button and I noticed thats where my problem started.

I noticed that it seemd like it was loading the page quick, but it would
never really load it. I thought I would do a clean sweep and see if that
helped and started to close the 2 windows I had open.

When I made it to the desktop and opened the program, I moved my mouse over
the icon and it opened by it's self, and the program opened 10-15 windows.
After that any icon I draged my mouse over would open. I could not right
click and I went to shut down, but instead it put me in stand by mode. I
finially got the computer off with a shut doiwn, and I pulled the plug to
kill and static the machine may have had, and I rebooted, the problem was
still there.

I did scans for ad-ware, and it found 19, I deleted, and then I did a virus
scan, and nothing! Anyone out there, can you help me?

Matt,

Have you tried replacing the mouse? Your description is
very similar to a problem I had at work with a mouse that
had an intermittant short in the printed circuit board in
the mouse. If you have access to another mouse it is
going to be the easiest thing to rule out.
