HELP!!! Can't open PROGRAMS

After installing and running spybot software, my file
association with programs was destroyed. I tried to
restore the association by opening Folder Options and
associating .exe files with applications, but this did not
help.

Every time I try to open a program, no matter which one it
is, I get an error message, that there is no program
associated with the file. I find this message kind of
strange, since the file IS a program.... please help!!!

P.S. I can't restore my computer using restore points
because I can't open programs.

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
