Help: can't find Trojan Horse

Hi,

I'm running win-xp home with a free AVG-6 anti-virus.
I get a message from "AVG Resident Shield"
Saying i have a "Trojan horse Clicker.AJ"
This is found in file:
C:\System Volume Information\.........
To remove this virus, please run AVG for windows

Now, after performing a full system virus scan the virus is not found !

Problem is that I can't find the folder C:\System Volume Information !!
Not by manual search or by doing a systemsearch
Even when i check the option to "show all hidden files and maps"
it does not show up

Please tell me where to find C:\System Volume Information

Hi

The SVI is a hidden folder as it contains all the files for System Restore.
If a virus is in there you can delete it by turning SR off/on.:

Right click My Computer, select Properties and then the System Restore tab.
Enable 'Turn off System Restore on all drives' and reboot your PC. After
that 1st reboot go back into SR and disable 'Turn off System Restore on all
drives' and reboot your PC again. After that 2nd reboot you should have one
new SR checkpoint and the virus would been eliminated.

Hi

Yes, the virus should have been deleted using that method.
