HELP!! Can I get them back???

I didn't backup some word files and pics before I
upgraded from Windows98 to XP. Is there anyway to get
these back??? Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!
 
Hi,

It depends on where the files were saved. If they were saved in the windows
folder in c:\ then it might have got removed when the upgrade modified the
folders.

Always it is recommended to perform a backup of ur data before performing an
upgrade.

Do not save data files in the same folder as the operating system. create
seperate folders and save them and apply appropriate security to protect them.
