What are you talking about?

This is a NEWSGROUP and you access it using Outlook Express (or another news
client).

If you're doing it through the web you're just accessing a web portal.

site no longer available? I don`t know if I can explain it better, I would
type in www. Microsoft Help And Support,ect, and I would go to a site that
had links ( in blue) on top like: downloads, products, newsgroups,ect...if
you clicked on newsgroups you would get to this site which as I stated,
didn`t require "sign in" or "sign up" or anything in order to post and
reply....is this any clearer?
