What happened to the Non Net Passport community posting site? Please try one of the following options to continue your search:
Check the address for typing errors.
Click the Back button and try a different option.
Try this page again later.......................................So, is this
site no longer available? I don`t know if I can explain it better, before I
had added it to my "favorites" I would
type in www. Microsoft Help And Support, ect, and I would go to a site that
had links ( in blue) on top like: downloads, products, newsgroups,ect...if
you clicked on newsgroups you would get to this site which as I stated,
didn`t require "sign in" or "sign up" or anything in order to post and
reply,it also displayed the time that a post was made,ect....Does anyone
know what I`m talking about?

Why do I need to sign in to Communities?

It isn't necessary to be signed in to Communities to search for posts,
read posts, expand threads, or show specific threads in discussion groups.
However, there are certain things you can do in discussion groups that
require you to sign in. To add your own post, rate posts, or sign up for
e-mail notifications, you are required to use a .NET Passport to sign in.

Signing in helps ensure that you are who you say you are, and that no one
else can pretend to be you. Because you may build a reputation in the
Community by answering questions accurately, and you build other people’s
reputations when you rate their answer to your question, it is important that
others can trust that you are who you say are each time you participate in
Communities.

I`m not downplaying the site in which we are currently communicating with
each other, I`m just wondering where a particular site that I`d been using
had gone to all of a sudden? But to be honest, it was a visually more
interesting, more user friendly, had more topics and/or discussion options and
more space in which to work,scroll,...you name it!... Hey,one day it was
there, the next it was gone...no big thing, I was just wondering if anyone
else was familiar with it and knew what happened,or if something had changed
about my machine ( this occured after I`d installed some security updates
from windows update). Thanks for your response
