I can sign in to this XP forum with no problem. However, when I try to sign
in to the Vista Security Forum, I keep getting returned to the page I was
signing in from. I can't get to the sign in page. Tried it on my Vista
notebook and XP desktop and still cannot sign in. Any help appreciated.

Try using a newsreader like Outlook Express instead of the clunky and
unreliable Web interface.

Setting up Outlook Express Newsreader for MShttp://www.michaelstevenstech.com/outlookexpressnewreader.htm

Access that *newsgroup* via your default newsreader by clicking on this

Probably a glitch at the time, no problem now. Suggest you use OE as
suggested by Bruce & PA Bear. Much easier.

This isn't a forum; it's a newsgroup. The reason you're having such
problems is that you are using the awful web interface to read this
newsgroup--it's the slowest, clunkiest, most error-prone method there
is. Do yourself a favor and switch to a newsreader, such as Outlook
Express, which comes with Windows XP, or Windows Mail, which comes
with Vista. See
http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/outlookexpressnewreader.htm

Thanks everyone for your in-put. I am a computer novice and I prefer not to
use Outlook Express.
Isn't there any other way to sign-in to the Vista forums (as I am allowed to
do with the XP forums)?
Sorry for not being much of an 'adventurer.'

Your choice of course, but as far as I'm concerned your being a
computer novice makes my recommendation that you use a newsreader
instead of the web interface even stronger.

There are several newsreaders to choose from, but I recommend getting
started with Outlook Express because you already have it and setting
it up by following the instructions in the link I posted below very
easy.

Yes, you're top-posting gave that away. ;-)

Tons of novices use Outlook Express. You should, too, in this situation.

Hello,
If not interested in using Ooutlook Express or a third party newsreader,
suggest using Google Groups.
If you have a Gmail account you can sign in and use the Google web interface.
If no Gmail account , sign up for one.
Go to Google Groups enter the group you need. Such as
:Microsoft.public.windows.vista.security
Takes a few minutes to learn how to use Google Groups.
Check back to the Microsoft Vista site (from time to time) to find out if it
is working.

take care.
beamish.
