Help and Support...Help Please...

I am having a strange problem using help and support. I did a search on
"Setting Wizard". In the Overviews,Articles and Tutorials section of the
Search Results a topic called "Files and Settings Wizard overview" shows up.
I click on the topic and the results are displayed. When I click on the
hyperlink in the article named Files and Settings Transfer Wizard it creates
an icon next to the existing icon near the Notes header. Repeatedly clicking
the hyperlink yields more icons!

I tried this on other topics and the same thing happens. Clicking any
hyperlink yields the same result.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi!
Try :-
1] Start > run > sfc /scannow > ok

if that doesn't help :-

2]reinstall Help and Support: Go to
C:\Windows\inf\pchealth.inf. Right click and choose
install. Have your CD handy.

Note: The folder is hidden by default. Go to Start/Run
and type in: control folders. View: Show hidden files and
folders and uncheck Hide extensions for known file types.

Hi!
Please ignore my 1st post.
Extremely sorry I thought it to be a problem in Help &
Support.
You do this:-
start > All programs > Accessories > System tools > File
and settings tranfer wizard.
Once again saying extremely sorry for my overlooking.

When I try to reinstall help and support I put the XP CD in, it installs
some files and then asks me for my SP1 CD. I do have SP1 installed, but I
downloaded and do not have a CD.

Thanks

If you're given the chance to "browse" for the files, point it to the
Windows\ServicePackFiles\I386 folder.

curiosity up as to what is going on.

Thanks for the help Kelly.

I followed your instructions, downloaded the "winhlp32sp1.exe" file from
your site. However when I try to open the file, I get a open file dialog
window. It seems to be looking for a help file.

Thanks for any assistance.
