Help and Support Center on Windows XP

I just recently tried to open Help and Support off the start menu and I got
an error message window saying that Windows can not open Help and Support
because a system service is not running. To fix this problem start the
service named "Help and Support."
Where do I find this service to restart it?
I looked in system services in admin. tools and there is no listing.

Has it ever worked before?

If you are sure the Help and Support service is completely not in the
Services window, have you run anything like registry cleaners,
optimizers, mechanics, etc. lately and then you noticed Help and
Support did not work?

I do not use any of the mentioned apps. I has been quite some time since I
tried to open Help and Support so I am not sure how long it has been gone. I
checked again it is definitely not listed in the services window. Is there
any way to reinstall this without having to reinstall the OS. Thanks

OK - your answer helps decide what to do next.

Let's backup your Windows registry first for safety. If you don't
know how, here is a free tool:

Visit the following site, read the directions, and since your Service
is missing, download the helpsvc.zip, extract the .reg file, double
click it to import.

It is likely this problem is a result of malware, so a good scan while
your fixin' won't hurt:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware
detection programs:

Malwarebytes (MBAM): http://malwarebytes.org/
SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

They can be uninstalled later if desired.
