Hi All,

I have just installed windows XP Pro on my Dell latitude D600 laptop and
noticed that i cannot play any music on it. Upon investigation i have found
that there are some devices that are not configured properly they have an
exclamation mark on the hardware devices.

The problem i have is i have no drivers for the hardware and neither do i
know what they refer to.......the devices listed as being faulty are as
follows.
Ethernet controller; Multimedia audio controller; Network controller; USB
serial bus controller; Video controller (VGA Compatible).

Please could someone advise me as to what to do / where to get the drivers
etc.

Go to
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs

Pick your model from the drop down list box (ignore the service tag
box) and pick the device you need drivers for.
Download and install one a time.

From a working computer with a good Internet connection and a cd burner,
go to Dell's tech support site. Go to tech support for your specific
model laptop. Download drivers for your laptop and burn them onto a cd.
Take them back to your laptop and install the drivers. Or call Dell
Tech Support and have them send you the Resource CD that originally
came with your computer. Unless this is a brand-new laptop, Dell would
have sent you the Resource CD which includes all the drivers (and other
cd's for preinstalled software) when you originally bought the laptop.
