Help, admin has less options than restricted user

Hi all,

a newbie question: due to my fault, I had to reinstall our Win XP Home
v5.01, Service Pack 2 from scratch. It works :), there are now 3 users,
User1 (that's me, the first account I created, with admin rights) and User2
and User3 with restricted rights.

Very strange, however:

1) User 1 with admin rights cannot resolve all URLs, eg. www.kfa-juelich.de
works, but www.fz-juelich.de does not. The restricted users have no problem
with that. How come?

2) The restricted users have the handy Microsoft speaker icon in their task
bar, to the right. I, the admin User1, have not. I have to use a program
called "c Mediamix". This program sits also in the task bar of the
restricted users; but still, they have the simple to operate MS speaker
icon. I could not find out where this program resides on my PC. How could I
get it to my task bar?

Thanks,

Siggi

What trick? Who are you talking to?

Maybe you cannot read my first entry: here is it again, abbreviated:

Win XP Home
v5.01, Service Pack 2 from scratch. It works :), there are now 3 users,
User1 (that's me, the first account I created, with admin rights) and User2
and User3 with restricted rights.
User 1 with admin rights cannot resolve all URLs, some work, some don't. The
restricted users have no problem
with that. How come?

As I told already, upgrading helped. I do not know why

*** whom am I talking to****
just thought, it would be polite to tell that the problem was solved
