I am using Windows XP Pro which has been kept up-to-date with Windows
Update.
This morning there is a link in Wall Street Journal Online which opens a
macromedia control in a separate windows. I copied that link to my desktop
in the hope I could get back to it at my convenience. There was a message
which a think said I was putting an ActiveDesktop Control on my desktop, but
I am not sure. I made the mistake of going ahead.
Now the upper left of my wallpaper is replaced by the image from the
journal. It is not an active window with a border which I can move or
close. If I refresh it, it refreshes using macromedia. In addition, the
names of all my desktop icons are blue, as if they were highlighted.
I do not see anything new in my desktop folder or in AddRemove Programs. My
computer seems to be working except for this desktop problem.
How do I get rid of this damn thing and get back my usual desktop?
Thanks.
