HELP! Access 2K doesn't work anymore!

Running Office 2000 Pro SP3, all the latest updates including Jet SP8, in XP Pro, SP3 & latest security stuff

For some reason, my office insallation got corrupted. Even a reinstall didn't help, in that I was getting errors connected with two missing registry keys - HKEY_Current_Users\Software\OBDC and HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\OBDC. I reimported these keys and that fixed some of the problems. But Access still refuses to work. I have two databases that we use, an address book and a project list. Opening either and trying to look at the table gives an alert box (yellow triangle with exclamation point) and the single word "Unknown" (no quotes). Trying to look at a report gives the alert box and the message "in query expression 'YEAR'." (again, double quotes mine). Others can open these files, so it's my problem

Anybody have any ideas

Thanks

Sounds like there might be autoexec macro running which is causing the
exclamation box.

You might try creating a new database and importing any macros or modules
and examining them for a "msgbox" statement. It might give you an idea of
what might be missing.

We don't use such things much; but I did start a new DB and tried to import macros and modules from those files; none were listed in the dialog box.

Access is not my straong point, I just use the DB's to look up a project number or phone number, address, etc. But I gott have it.

Thanks
