Help a Novice - Log in Problem

This is caused by a Spyware program altering a critical Windows file and registry setting.

Follow the procedures below:

1. Boot to recovery Console

2. Change Directory to System32 (CD system32)

3. In C:\Windows\system32 Folder Type "Copy userinit.exe wsaupdater.exe" (without the quotation marks) and press enter

4. Restart the Computer

5. Log in to in Windows

6. Open the Registry Editor and browse to KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

7. Modify the Value Userinit to C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe

8. Close registry Editor

9. Delete wsaupdater.exe File in C:\Windows\System32 Folder
