What is all the fuss about here?

Odvously there is a problem with the RAM, it's faulty.

Just return the RAM to the place you bought it for a warrenty
replacement. Dont you get a 1 year warrenty on stuff in the USA?

?

I dont think its a faulty stick...

if he has it in combination with other ram modules such problem are very
very very very very very common!

As you have been told, the problem is with the actual memory chip that
you have, not Kingston in general(although Kingston Value Ram sometimes
has problems in some computers). Even though the specs are the same,
some motherboards won't work properly without memory from a specific
manufacturer(lots of discussion about this on the Dell support groups,
for example). Crucial is usually foolproof in their
recommendations--the catch is that they are guaranteeing their memory,
not what appears to be the same thing from a different manufacturer.
This is why Crucial guarantees that its memory will work and refunds
your money if it doesn't.
