heaphones?

ok, I have integrated sound on my laptop. Advance AC97, I get sound just
fine however, when I try to plug in my boom mike headset, I get no sound from
the phones.....any ideas?

just to cover the basics, make sure your headphones are plugged into the
headphone jack and not the line out. Also, some BIOS' have a feature to
disable onboad audio, check your BIOS settings to verify its not off. also,
check your audio settings to make sure playback through headphones is not
disabled or muted.
