I am creating a calendar that is two pages/month, and I want to insert
headers with chapter titles. I have created the table of contents and
inserted section breaks. The problem seems to be where the breaks fall...
The section break always seems to fall after the header and the button to
"link to previous" doesn't seem to help. What I want to do is have
August-August, September-September, ect. I can't seem to change one thing
without changing everything or without somhow messing up my tables when I try
a different method.

I can send my document if you could help.

Please help!!! Thank you.

If you want to have different text in the header/footer for each section,
make sure you click the 'same as previous' button to turn it Off, before you
enter the text for the next header/footer. Otherwise they are linked and what
you type in one will also be in the others.

Where is that button? I am using cross reference to put in my information.
I'm not doing it manually (so to speak).

Thanks,
Meredith

The button is on the header/footer toolbar.

What do you mean you are using cross-reference to put information in the
header?

If the name of the month is on the main text of the page somewhere, you
could use a StyleRef field to pull it into the header, and then you would
not even need section breaks at all.

It's on the Header & Footer toolbar, which displays when you're in a header
or footer, just to the left of the Switch Between Header and Footer Button.
