Having trouble with explorer 6

I'm having alot of problems with IE6 it will freez up on
me alot and it is running really slow when i open it i
have to wait befor i can click on another link. i have
windows 2000 and i'm on verizon DSL the IE 6 has been like
this for a whiel now and i have tried everything i can
think of can anybody please help me.
