A little more info might enable someone
to offer you some ideas.

Are you running WinXP? SP2?

Where are you saving the images from?
E-mail? Photo CD?

What format are the image files saved in?

What are you opening when you receive
the error? Your My Pictures folder? Or...
are you viewing the directory of a CD?

Im running with XP, I'm trying to save pics from emails & can't, i get the
error when opening the pics in my pictures folder & they are saved as jpeg??

Do I have to add another program so they could open? I have saved pics from
emails onto my picture folder & never ran into this problem....

Maybe you have a virus. Have you done a recent
full system scan using the most current definitions?

Do you have any problems viewing the images
currently saved on your hard drive or just the
newly copied files?

Additional software should not be necessary, If
you have successfully copied .jpg image files to
your My Pictures folder you should be able to
view them in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.

Apparently you have a new problem now.
