Having Trouble Publishing

This is my first time creating any web pages. I am using Frontpage 2003 and
have created my web pages, but am getting an error message when I attempt to
publish. This is what I am doing:
I highlight all the files I want to publish, right click, then click on
publish selected files. The Remote Web Site Properties box comes up, I have
Frontpage or Sharepoint Services Selected. I type in
http://www.mydomainname.com but when I click ok I get "Unable to open
http://www.mydomainname.com"
Server Error" Could not find a Web server at www.mydomainname.com. Please
check to make sure that the Web server name is valid.
I have checked with Digitronicweb and I have registered my domain name
correctly. Digitronic has also worked with Frontpage before. I am not sure
what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you create a Web or a bunch of loose web pages?

File|Open Web (on your local machine)
then File |Publish Web / Site
If you've not published to your server yet you must Publish everything, not select what you want to publish - FP knows what it needs to publish for you.

Kinda sounds like you did not create a Web though.

I think I probably created a bunch of loose pages. I opened Frontpage and
started creating all these pages. When I try to put all my files on my remote
web site I still get the same box and the same error message. So I don't know
if my proxys are correct or what I am doing wrong. Does this help?

You can't - doesn't work that way.

You have to create a Web first.

Create a New Web from within FP...an empty web. FP will create all the necessary files it needs. Then drag your loose pages into the empty web.

Then Publish Web/Site to your server.
