I have Windows XP. I recently purchased Microsoft Office
Student and Teacher Edition 2003 which required Windows
2000 or Windows XP. This program includes Word, Excel,
Outlook, and PowerPoint. When I insert the disc, it does
not "autostart" like all my other discs do AND it does
not show up under "drive D:" when I try to access it
through "My Computer". In fact, it acts as if there is
NO disc in the drive at all. Gateway said that it sounds
like I purchased a faulty disc so I returned it to the
store for an exchange and had them put the new one in
their computer to make sure it would start, which it
did. But the new disc won't work in my computer either--
it acts the same way the first one did. Why is this?
And what can I do to get this thing downloaded?
