Having problems with Microsoft FrontPage

G

Guest

When making changes to my website, I cannot get FrontPage to recognize the
sites username and password. It keeps asking me to re-enter my password and
will not connect to my site.

I'm wondering if I accidentally deleted an important folder while trying to
"clean up" my site. These are the _vti folders that I have in my public_html
folder. Am I missing anything imoportant???
_private
_vti_bin
_vti_cnf
_vti_log
_vti_pvt
_vti_txt

I really have no clue when it comes to this. I love MFP, because it's so
easy to use, but this is killing me. I need to be able to update my website
asap.

Thank you for your help.

Don't know how to help you. But you should not delete _vti folders
because FP uses them.

The password will be saved in "_vti_pvt/*.pwd"
(* can be "Service", "Authors" ,"admin", "users", "administrators", etc.)

Yes, you have destroyed the FP structure, as these are critical files of the
FP server extensions. I recommend you contact your host.
