Having problem with wireless connection and Windows Vista Home Premium

Hello everyone:

I just bought Dell Laptop Inspiron with Windows Vista Home Premium
installed. I've two other computers old laptop and desktop all other are
running Windows XP SP2. I have wireless Dlink router DI-624. Other laptop
with XP SP2 is using Dlink USB card DWL-G132 (currently no vista drivers
available for this card) and connect to Internet without any problem.
Desktop hooked up with wire and no problem. Only Dell (Vista) Laptop cannot
connect to internet using wireless router. Dell laptop has built-in Intel(R)
PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Card. I can connect using wire (RJ45) but not
wirelessly. If I search for available wireless connection it shows 7 other
wireless networks available in the neighbour hood but does not show mine. I
also disabled the WAP encription etc from the router, but no success. I
still cannot see my network. I even connect to Internet using one of the
wireless connection available in the neighbour hood . But don't want to
use someone else signals for security reason etc.

there are 5 different hardware versions of this router. check and
see what the latest firmware is for the one you have and update the
firmware. try to connect again. also, you should try resetting the
router to factory defaults after applying the firmware if you still
can't connect. report results here.
