having big trouble with my folders

when i double clicked on a folder anywhere in the system, they all opened in
ACDsee, so i deleted ACDsee and now when i try to open them, search comes up,
also when i right click on them my open with part of the menu has gone. I
tryed to do a system restore but was not able. went into folder options also
but didn't really know what to do. Please help me get this back to normal.
any help would be appreciated.
