Having a voice read e-mails to you

My 78 year old uncle only has about 10% vision in 1 eye and is blind in the
other. He struggles mightily to get through e-mail which he uses often to
keep in touch with family and friends. I have been trying to find something
in Outlook or other MS program that would read his e-mails to him and
possibly let him record his response.

Does anything like this exist and if so would someone please point me in the
right direction?

You can use TTS (text-to-speech) included w/ MS Accessibility - see MS
Accessibility website, and voice recognition software, - Dragon Naturally
Speaking 8 ($170) - but the results might not be what you or your uncle
need.
Try Voice Mail, better; you can use it free in MSN Messenger, for ex. or
available as an Outlook add on (google for "outlook voice mail") if you
have a decent speed internet connection.
