my cdrw drive for some reason,
I have a cdrw external drive
and it worked for months
but out of the blue, I'm getting
this error and I even got a new
cdrw drive for my cd rom drive
and I still get this error, here it is:

"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent
damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen,
restart your computer, If this screen appears again, follow these
steps:

Check to be sure you have adequate disk space.
If a driver is identified in the Stop message, disable the driver or
check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video
adapters.

Check with your hardware vender for any BIOS updates.
Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.
If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components,
restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options,
and then select Same Mode.

What CD burning software and version is installed on your system. That
would seem to be the likely culprit. This error is common with incompatible
burning software being installed or if the software was reinstalled or if
the OS was reinstalled over itself, all of which would require the software,
if a compatible version, be reinstalled or possibly removed and reinstalled.
