Hi,

The browser usually asks for a confirmations as to whether to save a file
or open it in IE6 itself. Someone used my computer and they must have set it
to open PDF files directly. It just keeps loading some BIG PDF files
directly and i can't even know how much is downlaoded. IS there a way to
make it ask me whether I want to save it or open it ?

SOme other file types like CHM are being prompted to save. Only PDF files is
the problem.

Thanks.

Go to Control Panel > Folder Options > File Types. Scroll down to PDF and
highlight it. Click on Advance. Check the box "Confirm open after
download".

Close your browser.

Launch the Acrobat Reader, click on File | Preferences | General, then deselect
"Web Browser Integration".

Restart the browser and then when you click on a link to a PDF file, it will
present you with a window prompt, giving you a choice to open or save.
