Have to do a send & rec to get new messages

Hi

I use Outlook (Office XP 2002 version) and to download
new messages I have to press the "send & receive" option,
otherwise it could be open all day and not download a new
message.

Why could this be, check all my config and everything is
ok: Connect to a LAN, Outlook is set as the default mail
manager, only one email account, etc.

HELP!

Is "Disable scheduled Send/Receive" (Tools->Send/Receive
Settings) checked?
 
HEHEHEHE, Found the problem, the option "Schedule
automatic send & receive every x minutes" was not
selected for some reason.
