Have a damaged explorer.exe file fails to initialize (0xc0000005). Help Please

Brad

I go to boot up my laptop and a diag box appears and it states the
following:

Explorer.exe - Applicationn Error
The App failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005)
Click okay to terminate the application

After I push okay and it finishes booting up there are no icons present
and the task bar is no where to be found. I am able to push
control+alt+delete. There are several processes running. Seems to be
all of them that should be except for explorer.exe. I can start my most
used applications manually using the "New Task" button in Task Manager
after browsing to find it in the "Programs" folder. I would really
like to just repair or replace my explorer.exe file and get everything
working properly again. Any ideas, thoughts, or fixes? Thank you for
your time.
