Tommy
hello.
have a shop built ACER desktop. have had it for a year and a half,
with no problems 512mb ram and running XP.
this morning it crashed at the bios screen, and froze, so i restarted.
all went fine, into XP and began working. in about five minutes it
froze again so turned off and restarted.
this time nothing happened. fans whir and click but no beep and no
display.
took the cover off, and blew a fairly large amount of dust away and
checked all connections and stuff.
have since been able to get it to get as far as the bios screen again
a couple of times, but again just freezing.
does this mean the bios has been fried or something? or what?
can i reset it?
or is it another problem?
thanks, tom
