Hardware Profiles/Configuration recovery menu

Hi,
I have an annoying, but minor problem with my computer
lately. I have a Win Xp pro running on AMD 2500 Asus
motherboard. Recently, whenever I start up the computer
it automatically enters the Hardware
Profiles/Configuration recovery menu, which gives me 2
choices to choose from: Profile1 or Profile2. I don't
know how to bypass this. I used System Restore once on
the computer and suspect that this may have caused the
menu to load. Has anybody else ever encountered this, and
how do we bypass this menu?

Go into the device manager and delete the old profile (profile 1). You
should also note the check box that enables automatically selecting your
current profile if you don't pick one within typically 30 seconds. This
option is only used if you have multiple hardware profiles.
