Hardware Profile/Configuration Recovery Menu Problem

For no reason I can think of, the Hardware Profile/Configuration Recovery
Menu has started to appear on boot up. It has only one profile to select. I
went into Hardware Profiles and made sure there was only one profile. I also
tried selecting the "Select the first profile if I don't select a profile in"
option, and set 0 secs. This made no difference. I tried restoring to a
restore point before this started happening, no change. No new hardware
added. No change in settings. Added a demo game, but that is gone now that
I've done a system restore. No crashes or other errors. Any ideas?

Have you checked in Device Manager for any banged-out "!" devices? Might
be a driver issue.

You can also try to create a new hardware profile, select it at next
boot and then delete the old one.

To create a hardware profile:

Sorry, this didn't work. No yellow ! marks in Device Manager. No problems at all, except for this thing coming up during the Boot Up. Thanks anyway.
