hardware problem

i have a toshiba sd-r2002 cdrw/dvd drive...all functions
r ok except when i try to use a dvd,,it just makes
clicking noises and wont load,,,i have tried 3rd party
software and media player 9,all with appropriate
options,,any ideas will be appreciated,,dave
...
 
Hi,

Your subject header is most likely correct, you have a hardware problem. If
it's still under warranty, call Toshiba. Otherwise, it would be best to take
it to a shop for repair/replacement of the drive.
