Hi...
I' ve been having serious problems with my desktop PC because it won't
boot properly and often got stuck in the booting process. Sometimes it
manages to completely boot but ended up restarting by itself all over
again.

In certain occasions, the PC fails to boot and emits 10 'deet' sounds
continously. A normal PC boot only emits 2 'deet' sounds.

At first, I suspected something wrong with the graphic card because
the image is often distorted when the PC jams. So, I tried reducing
the hardware acceleration but it doesn't really do much help either.

I ventured into the 'Help and Support' and accessed 'Tools' (Advanced
System Information). I managed to see the error log but I couldn't
really understand it throughly because it's kinda techical.
Here's what I saw :

All I could figure out was there's something amiss about the power
supply. I changed the plugs and everything but the problems still
persists. This is driving me crazy...(sometimes I ended up banging the
chasis- bad attitude XP )

I've run full system scans with the latest updates and I didn't find
any virus or malware in my machine.
I wonder what could be the root problem....sigh...

I'm currently using Windows XP with Service Pack2. My PC is usually
used for word processing, light gaming and web-surfing only.
Definitely no overclocking.

If you took your time to read this and ended up scratching your head,
I sincerely tender my apologies. But if you have any idea or
solutions, please help. References is very much appreciated. Thank you
in advance!!!

Have a nice day~~

Don't bother blaming XP if your computer is emitting beep codes it is not
the operating system but the BIOS alerting you of hardware problems. Check
here http://www.5starsupport.com/info/beep_codes.htm under the BIOS type
your system has.

By the way 2 beeps is not normal and 10 is certainly something amiss.

Sorry but 2 beeps is normal.2 indicates all is ok,if you get 0 beeps, youre pc
is probably due for retirement,as earlier pcs did'nt use this

Sorry, but as usual, you have no idea what you are talking about. Read
