hardrive problem.

i am running windows xp home addition and it wont recognize my blank
disks when i am trying to burn a disk.everything else is working, my
drive plays dvds and cds but it wont burn. help please?

1) This is not a "hard drive problem."

2) Are you sure you have a BURNER and not simply a cd/dvd PLAYER in your
computer? Have you ever been able to burn a disk on that computer?
 
yes i have a burner, it just stopped working! none of my programmes
will recognise a blank disc, help?
